The water inspired the story for the diver. The diver finds himself in an isolated small town with limited opportunities and is confronted by the brutality of what is happening around him when he is forced to retrieve dead bodies. The diver finds himself more involved in the process of these crime scenes than he would like and is confronted both physically and emotionally as the story unfolds …
Robert Raker says “I had always wanted to write from the perspective of a diver (scuba instructor). The inspiration came from taking pictures of the closed pool located near where I live. I noticed that no one had changed the water for a very long time; it was murky, dingy and disgusting.”
The water could teach you how to move if you let it.
